Recycling, minimising print waste and care of the environment are central to our operational policy.
Care of the environment, particularly through recycling, production efficiency and environmentally sympathetic design has long been central to Colorpak’s operational policy.
What has Colorpak done to minimise their environmental impact?
Colorpak has worked hard to build a strong work culture of environmental awareness throughout the company and has implemented a range of environmentally sympathetic initiatives, backed up by independent certification.
As well as the certifications of quality, Colorpak is also:
- A signatory of the National Packaging Covenant – since 2002
And we are in the process of being assessed for:
- ISO14001 certification – scheduled for November 2008
- FSC Chain of Custody Mixed Sources certification – scheduled for August 2008
Positive environmental initiatives include:
- Investing in environmentally oriented printing technology including waterless printing
- Actively encouraging the use of sustainable materials when purchasing materials for customers
- Recycling all reusable materials
- Maximising production efficiency to reduce energy usage and material wastage
- Designing products to have less environmental impact
Looking ahead
Colorpak has been investing heavily in environmental care for many years. We now have the infrastructure in place to quickly adopt any new low impact technology and will continue to do so, to ensure that Colorpak remains at the leading edge of environmentally sympathetic printing.
