- Providing and maintaining a safe working environment, a safe system of work and safe plant and equipment.
- Introducing and maintaining effective OHS procedures to ensure that all workplace hazards are identified, the associated risks assessed and appropriate measures introduced to eliminate or control these risks
- Integrating OHS into all aspects for the workplace
- Ensuring each individual is provided with information, training, instruction and supervision to enable them to undertake their duties safely and without risk to health
- Undertaking all inspections, maintenance, repairs, cleaning, modifications and housekeeping in a timely manner
- Observing best industry practice standards and complying with all necessary registration, certification and licensing requirements
- Providing appropriate personal protective equipment where it is deemed necessary, making sure it is maintained, stored and used appropriately
- Ensuring all accidents, incidents or near misses are reported, investigated and recorded, and adopting appropriate measures to prevent a recurrence
- Providing appropriate medical and first aid services as required
- Monitoring and revising our policy in the light of legislative, best practice or organisational change
